Iranian's don't need Islam. We have our own culture

Postby Ruzbeh_01 » Mon Apr 17, 2006 1:31 pm

We have to thank the courageous Iranian men and (especially) women in Canada who fought hard to keep the barbarians far from our gate. Islam belongs nowhere but in Arabistaan. It is their religion and their values - not mine and not Iran's.

Don't get me started on the hypocracy of the so-called "Islamic Scholars!"

The point is that we don't even need Islam. I am not religious. In fact, I don't even believe in God. But if Anyone asks me what religion I am, which comes up from time-to-time, I tell them I'm Zoroastrian.

Why?

Forgetting about my ill-will towards Islam generally, I tell people that I am Zoroastrian because it's my culture! How can I be Muslim and celebrate Noruz? How can I be Muslim and do anything even remotely Iranian?? If you want to be Muslim, then it means you accept the customs and the culture of the host - which is Arabistaan in this case.

And that's why the Mullahs tried so hard to make everything even remotely Iranian illegal. They even banned varzesh-eh Baastaani for a time. THANKFULLY THEY FAILED. But in their heads what they did was right because they were trying to achieve an Islamic Eutopia (at least some of them were. The others just wanted to be in power to steal money).

I don't accept the Arab's culture; I don't eat chick-peas for every meal; and I'm certainly not going to accept their prophet over my forefather. We have our "God" we have our "prophet." We can save Islam for other countries who have lost their culture and are seeking something to replace it with. Iran is not one of those countries.

In my opinion, Islam is dead in Iran and rightfully so.

Good fellow Ruzbeh,

Esteemed Islamic devotee such as myself, craves to ask: Isn’t it kina late to rant, rave, and surface such anger, since it was your Zoroastrian fathers who knowingly and willfully submitted their country, culture, and tradition to Islam and

And, don’t misunderstand, the Zoroastrians that I have known, were fantastic people, religion aside.

It wasn't as much of a rant as it was a rave.

Knowingly and willfully? lol... that's a term for it.

We all have our own opinions. I think Arab culture has no place in Iran and you think otherwise. We don't have to agree on everything, do we?

But you're right.. I think I was a bit too forceful. I appologize if I offended you.
