Susian Persian Ancient Salute – Column Top at Susa
Persian Ancient Salute predates Persian Aryan Salute and goes back 8000 years to Local Civilizations of Iran before the coming of Aryans to the Aryan Plateau and Greater Iran.

Persian Aryan Salute
This salute was mostly used after the entrance of Aryans in to the Iranian Plateau; however, it was somewhat used even before the entrance of the Aryans into the Iran.
To do this salute, the right hand is raised halfway up, about 60 degrees forward with the arm and the elbow clung or near to the side of the body and the forearm diagonally about 60 degrees to the body forward with palm of the hand sideways facing left. The palm of the hand unlike the Persian Ancient Salute is not facing the other person forward but it is facing sideways with outer hand facing right and the inner hand facing left.

These artifacts belong to the Susa Era before the coming of Aryans. Observe the Susian outfits which belong to the Susa Kingdom way before Achaemenid Era. Look at the hand gestures sideways. Susa history and artifacts go back 8000 years. Persian Faravahar Salute
You will notice that Faravahar Ancient Persian Ditty and Figure often has a Ring of Power holding by his left hand and doing a salute similar to the Persian Aryan Salute by his right hand. The difference is that in the Persian Aryan Salute the forearm forms a 60-degree angle with the body but in the Persian Faravahar Salute, the forearm is lower and closer to 180 degree (flat horizontal line) but not quite. Maybe it is closer to 160 degrees but not quite straight flat like 180 degree.
Persian Faravahar Salute got popular specifically by Zoroastrianism and growth of Zarathustra’s philosophy in Iran.

The Pan Iranist Salute used by Pan Iranist Party members is similar to the first part of the Ancient Roman Salute where the right arm is bent on the elbow cross the chest horizontally. In this salute the arm or forearm does not move forward at all. It stays cross the chest.

Reza Shah the Great observes Susian Persian Achaemenid Spearmen March wall carvings of Persepolis historical archeological ruins at the Pars Province. Reza Shah the Great was a solid enemy of the organized religion, specifically Arabo-Islamic religion, subculture and traditions. Reza Khan was a hardcore Persian Nationalist and a lover of Iran. His goal was to revive Iranian old traditions, celebrate Iranian Festivals and promote Iranian Culture. Reza Khan was pro modernization and westernization. Reza Khan was against Islamic dress codes, Shiite Islamic mourning, Islamic fanaticism and religious events. Reza Khan was heavily cleansing the Iranian Culture from the Arabo-Islamic Infections and Impurities.
